How do I create a list?
Tap the + button to create a new list. You can start from scratch or pick a template (Grocery, Packing, Books, Movies, Gifts). Templates set an icon and category automatically, but you can change these at any time.
What happens when I check off an item?
It depends on your Done Behavior setting. Items can move to the bottom of the list, be removed (sent to the Bin), or stay in place with a strikethrough. You can set a global default in Settings or override it per list.
Can I link lists to todos?
Yes — if you have My Next: Todo installed, you can link a todo to one of your lists. Edit a todo in My Next: Todo and tap Link to List. The link works both ways, so you can jump between the apps.
Where is my data stored?
All your lists and items are stored locally on your device. We don't have access to them and can't see what you create in the app.
Does the app collect analytics?
Only a limited anonymous app-opening event: which app was opened, whether the launch was cold or warm, the app's language, a timestamp, and a randomly generated anonymous identifier used to group those events. No list names, no list items, no names, no email addresses. It is never used for advertising and never sold. You can turn it off completely in Settings — that stops all future events and deletes anything still queued on your device.
What does the app send when I subscribe to Extra?
My Next: Extra is handled by RevenueCat, our subscription provider. The app sends it a randomly generated customer ID — no name, email address, or account ID — and RevenueCat processes the purchase and entitlement status Apple reports. That is what validates receipts, unlocks Extra, restores a purchase, and lets one subscription work across Todo, List, and Note. RevenueCat starts with the app rather than only at purchase time, so it applies whether or not you subscribe. Apple processes all payments, so no card details reach us or RevenueCat, and none of it is used for advertising. Because Extra cannot work without it, this is separate from the analytics switch in Settings. One practical note: if you have Extra, your backup file also carries that customer ID so Extra can follow you to a new phone — which is a good reason to treat backup files as private.
What happens if I delete the app?
Since your lists live only on your device, deleting the app removes all of them. We recommend exporting a backup from Settings before deleting.
How do I manage my subscription?
You can manage or cancel your Extra subscription in your iPhone's Settings app under your Apple ID > Subscriptions, or directly from the "Subscription & Support" section in the app.
Can I use My Next: List on multiple devices?
Currently, My Next: List works on a single device. Cross-device sync is planned for a future update and will be optional.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet — as a small studio, we're starting with iOS to get the experience right before expanding. Android is on the roadmap and something we'd love to build.
